Codeine

Codeine

Codeine is an opiate analgesic used for mild to moderately severe pain and, in some cases, as a cough suppressant. It alters brain and nervous performances to reduce the perception of suffering and suppress the cough reflex.

It will start working within 30 to 60 minutes, with relief lasting for several hours. As a side effect, it may cause sleepiness, dizziness, nausea, and constipation. Long-term use can lead to dependence, so it should only be taken as prescribed by a doctor.

While taking Codeine, consultation is needed when considering alcohol or sedatives since they aggravate harmful side effects.

Pregabalin

Pregabalin

Pregabalin is a medication used for the treatment of nerve pain, seizures, and anxiety. It acts to calm the overstimulated nerves of the brain and body.

Doctors often prescribe this medication to patients who are suffering from diabetic nerve pain, fibromyalgia, and spinal cord injury. Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is also treated with it.

Not including this medicine suddenly is preferable; a doctor should be consulted. Alcohol should also be avoided, as it improves the sedation; patients must take it exactly as defined.
